Description

ExpiryWatcher is a mobile application for tracking products' (groceries, medicine, etc.) and documents' (like ID cards) expiry dates.

ExpiryWatcher allows to:

• manage products that should be tracked,
• view expired, about-to-expire and fresh/unexpired items,
• manage product types and set the about-to-expire warning period,
• manage product containers,
• receive notifications about expiring products,
• export and import the product list.

What ExpiryWatcher is NOT:

• a shopping list application,
• software for buying or ordering products.

ExpiryWatcher is meant to be a place where you keep records of what items you have, in what quantities, if they are opened or not (if applicable) and what their expiration dates are.

ExpiryWatcher was created as a Free replacement for the gone "Expiring things" application.

Installing the software

1. Download the chosen .apk file (ExpiryWatcher-3.0.0-debug.apk or ExpiryWatcher-3.0.0-release.apk).
2. Open the Files application.
3. Locate the downloaded .apk file.
4. Tap the file to install.
5. Expand any warning messages to allow installation.

Compatibility

Various versions of ExpiryWatcher have successfully been used with the following systems in the following versions:

• Android™:
  • 15

Other versions may also work.

Reporting issues

Any defects or issues can be reported by e-mail or in the SourceForge project defect manager (in English).

Any improvement suggestions can be reported by e-mail or in the SourceForge project ticket manager (in English).

To report usage problems, include:

1. the ExpiryWatcher version you're using, e.g. ExpiryWatcher 3.0.0,
2. the system version you're using, e.g. Android 14,
3. a description of the problem that the software causes,
4. any error messages that are displayed,
5. any other information that you think could lead to solving the problem.
